Pre-registration information on access and admissions
Royal Decree 412/2014, of 6 June, regulates the conditions for access to official undergraduate university studies and the procedures for admission to Spanish public universities. The following groups may access university studies:
- Student in possession of the Spanish Education System Baccalaureate diploma or another declared equivalent.
- Student in possession of the European Baccalaureate diploma or the International Baccalaureate diploma.
- Student in possession of qualifications, diplomas or Baccalaureate studies from education systems of Member States of the European Union or other States with which international agreements applicable in this respect have been signed, on a reciprocal basis.
- Students in possession of qualifications, diplomas or studies recognised as equivalent to the Baccalaureate qualification of the Spanish Education System, obtained or carried out in education systems of States that are not members of the European Union with which international agreements have not been signed for the recognition of the Baccalaureate qualification on a reciprocal basis.
- Student in possession of the official qualifications of Higher Vocational Training Technician, Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design or Higher Sports Technician belonging to the Spanish Education System, or qualifications, diplomas or studies declared equivalent or homologated to these qualifications.
- Students in possession of qualifications, diplomas or studies, other than those equivalent to the qualifications of Baccalaureate, Higher Vocational Training Technician, Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design, or Higher Sports Technician of the Spanish Education System, obtained or carried out in a Member State of the European Union or other States with which international agreements applicable in this respect have been signed, on a reciprocal basis, when said Student meets the academic requirements demanded in said Member State for access to its Universities.
- Persons over twenty-five years of age who pass the entrance exam.
- Persons over forty years of age with work or professional experience related to their studies.
- Persons over forty-five years of age who pass the entrance examination.
- Students in possession of an official university degree, Master's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Students in possession of an official university degree of University Diploma, Technical Architect, Technical Engineer, Graduate, Architect, Engineer, corresponding to the previous organisation of university studies or equivalent qualification.
- Students who have completed partial foreign or Spanish university studies, or who, having completed their foreign university studies, have not had them recognised in Spain and wish to continue their studies at a Spanish university. In this case, it will be an essential requirement that the corresponding university recognises at least 30 ECTS credits.
- Students who were able to access university according to the regulations of the Spanish Education System prior to Organic Law 8/2013, of 9 December.
It is not necessary to have any specific previous education in order to access to the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, but it is recommended to have a level of English equivalent to the B1 European level.
We are looking for students interested on developing their professional careers on the tourism sector, that stand out by their communication skills, their ability to develop interpersonal relations, their entrepreneurship, and their international point of view.
According to the Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29th October, which establishes the arrangements for official university teaching, the credit transfer should be understood as the university accepting that credits which have been obtained in formal education either in this same University or in a different one can be computed to different ones to achieve an official qualification. Moreover, credits earned in different official higher education or in university studies leading to the obtainment of other degrees, referred to in the article 34.1 in the Organic Law 6/2001, of 21st December, on Universities, can be recognised.
The credit transfer and recognition in the degrees must comply with the following basic rules:
- As long as the degree to access belongs to the same branch of knowledge, a number of credit corresponding to at least the 15% of the total of credits in the degree, in the basic training subjects of the branch, can be recognised.
- As long as the degree to access belongs to the same branch of knowledge, the credits corresponding to the basic training subjects can be recognised.
- Can also be recognised the credits achieved in other basic training subjects belonging to the branch of knowledge of the degree to access.
- The University can recognise other credits taking into account the competences and knowledges associated to the other subjects studied, as well as the included in the study plan or that have a cross curricular nature.
