Infraestruturas

The Faculty of Business Sciences and Tourism has the adequate and sufficient facilities and resources to develop the educational activities planned at its degrees. Moreover, the facilities comply with the access requirements, according to the current regulations. The accessibility of the facilities for people with disabilities is regularly evaluated, and every year the possible incidences are reviewed and solved in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor Office and the Technical Unit of the University of Vigo.

MEDIA LABORATORY

Capacity: 24 seats

OPEN ACCESS LABORATORY

Capacity: 38 seats
There is an open access computer room in our faculty, placed on the 1st floor, opening from 9 am to 9 pm. The access is from the reading room.
There you can use a computer in order to do assignments, perform consultations, etc. There you can also print the assignments. There is an assistant in the room, in charge of the proper functioning of the computers. If you have got any doubt, consult with the assistant.

READING ROOM

In the 1st floor there is an open access reading room, opening from 9 am to 9 pm.

Academic Staff Offices
There are different halls in the centre dedicated to the academic staff’s offices, as well as meeting rooms and classrooms. Some of them perform their teaching and researching tasks with other centres. Both the emplacement of this offices and the contact information, together with the one related with the Heads of coordination by year, can be found in the Coordination and Teaching Staff sections of the web, updated.

Students Delegation
The Students Delegation can be found in the 0 floor, by the Dean Office. The members of the Delegation are the representatives of the students in the Centre Board and in the different working committees. They are also in charge of gather their classmates’ suggestions, notes, exams, assignments, etc., and of organise celebrations and cultural events. If you are willing to collaborate, you are more than welcome.

Administración

Administration
The administration services are on the 0 floor. They will solve any issue related with enrolment and management of the academic record. The opening hours are from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, but for July and August, from 9 am to 2 pm.
As a reminder here, if you are a newly enrolled student coming from Vocational Training, when you deliver the confirmation of enrolment, you can request the recognition of studies, according to the agreement between the Consellería de Educación and the University of Vigo, which established the subjects to be recognised.

LIBRARY

The library is within the Campus, in front of the Faculty. There you can consult books or magazines, study or read. There are also books to borrow, for which the University Card is needed.

In general, students on both the first and second cycle can take up to 3 books home for 10 days; students on the third cycle or those developing a project can take up to 10 books for a month.

There are computers in the library to consult. If you want to learn how to use their webpage quickly, ask the library staff.

The opening hours are:

Ordinary (Monday to Friday) from 8:30 am to 9 pm.
Special (weekends, from Saturday, 7th of June to Sunday, the 13th of July) from 8 am to 10 pm.
Special (nights, Monday to Friday, from Friday, 9th of June, to 11th of July) until 3 am.
Reduced (Monday to Friday in July and August) 14th to 31st of July from 8:45 am to 8:45 pm; in August from 8:45 to 14:20 (closed on evenings).

 

 

General services

Wi-Fi connection
The faculty premises count on a wireless connection to the University network and Internet. All the University community members have access to this service via the password linked to their personal or university email.

Laptop Loan Service
Teaching staff, students and administrative and service staff can borrow laptops.

Online teaching resources
As a support to the on-site teaching activity, the University of Vigo makes available the IT platform FaiTIC for the teaching staff, with online resources developed for tele-training.

Photocopy service
In the faculty hall there is a prepaid system photocopier. The cards can be bought in the Campus Library.

Cafeteria service
The cafeteria is on the 0 floor.
The opening hours are from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, and lunches are serviced from 1 pm to 4 pm.
