Maria Beatriz Gonzalez-Sanchez is Associate professor at the University of Vigo (Spain), with over twenty years of teaching experience in Accounting. PhD in Business Administration and Management, University of Vigo (2005). Master of Business Administration (MBA), Instituto de Empresa, Madrid (1993). Degree in Economic and Business Sciences, Universidad Complutense, Madrid (1991). Her teaching focuses on Accounting subjects, specifically, Cost Accounting (in Spanish and English); Budgetary Control Systems (in Spanish), both in Business Administration and Management degree and Accounting in tourism organizations (in English) in Tourism degree. She is member of the Research Group in Economic Analysis (RGEA). Together with Professor Ernesto López-Valeiras, they form the BioCost Subgroup, which belongs to the Galicia Sur Health Research Institute (IIS Galicia Sur). Their lines of research focus on Cost Calculation and Management Control Systems in the health sector, in organizations in the agro-food sector and in universities. She belongs to Management Accounting Commission of the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA) for which apart from evaluating other documents, she is the co-author of two already published “Management accounting for Biobanks” (2014) and “Management Accounting for Universities” (2019). She belongs to the Iberoamerican Association for Management Control (AICOgestión). She has been Erasmus Coordinator at the Faculty of Business Sciences and Tourism from 2006 to 2013 and Secretary of the Faculty from 2013 to 2019.
